Geeta Pyne is Senior Managing Director and Chief Architect at TIAA, where she leads the enterprise architecture vision and provides architectural leadership across all lines of business. With more than 25 years of experience, she has defined next generation architecture strategies, roadmaps and governance for companies including Intuit, Zuora, Veritas, VMware, BMC and Arrow Electronics. Her expertise spans SaaS and platform architecture, data and analytics products, hybrid and edge computing, distributed and serverless applications, and DevOps driven engineering delivery. She is known for using Architecture as Code, tightly connecting architecture to operations, and building data driven decision making foundations that align technology strategy with core business priorities and enable large scale digital transformation.
Beyond her executive role, Geeta is a trusted advisor to CIOs and CTOs as well as multiple startups, and is deeply involved in industry communities such as Chief Architect Forum, Women in Architecture, SIM, Evanta CIO communities and the GTM Capital advisory board. Recognized as one of the leading enterprise architects globally, she has received honors including Top Global Chief Enterprise Architect and Top Woman Transforming Enterprises, as well as AI100 and other industry awards for evangelism and impact. She began her career as a research scientist developing algorithms for satellite image processing, contributing IP to India’s first parallel computer PARAM and ISROVISION image processing system. A valedictorian in Computer Engineering from IIEST Shibpur, she combines deep technical rigor with a transformation mindset, mentoring the next generation of architects while championing pragmatic, human centric AI and technology change.
